Hear from two speakers using social media in very interesting ways. Jim Long (@newmediajim) is a cameraman with NBC News who covers the White House and President Barack Obama. The images he captures through his lens are only part of the story, the other part is what Jim shares with more than 30,000 followers on Twitter, offering the a very unique look at the Presidency and news gathering. You'll hear how Jim got involved in using Twitter and the challenges that he faces having a direct relationship with 30,000 people while working inside a massive corporation. Eric Scheinger is a High School Principal who is connected to his school and his community using Twitter and Facebook. His efforts have built a stronger school-community relationship and opened new doors for him professionally. His school has even received grants and news coverage as a result of his use of social media.
