Policy is how boards can contribute to improving student achievement. This Action Lab will give you skills and confidence to draft specific policies that contribute to learner success. Some of the policies covered are "tried-and-true," others are "hot-and-new." Has your board set policy on Option II (alternative educational programs leading to HS graduation)? Have you led the charge to have Personal Learning Plans? How about policy on RTI (Response-to-Intervention)? The presenters bring legal and policy skills to this session, plus the essential chief school administrator experience in implementing programs that are proven to improve student achievement even in the most challenging schools.
